my amazing bug is a praying mantis. Ms Tito told us to choose a bug and write some information about it, So I chose a praying mantis. There are many types of mantises and Information about it. The Praying mantis was named by that because of its praying position. They are carnivore insects witch means They eat meat. There are many other mantises that live in the sea,forest and different countries. Some mantises are small some are big some are medium sized But are a family. Some scientist agree that the mantis and cockroaches are closely related. The name mantis comes from the Greek word Prophet or soothsayer. The biggest mantises are called the Tenodera and the archimantis, They are 6 inches long. The smallest mantis is a bolbe pygmaea witch is only one centimeter that is unbelievable.

Duck's Stuck!

Duck is a good but hungry so it went off to search for food then it spotted a shed and it stuck its head in a crack from the shed then It was full so it tried to pull its head out but it couldn't then a rat came blew dust to the duck and the duck sensed and blew up the shed. This is a good story for all you little kids because u will learn not to stick your head in a gap and get stuck.

Mairangi bay

On the 19TH off November we went to Mairangi Bay and learnt how to keep safe at the beach.
We had lots of fun there swimming playing and learning. there were four lifeguards there names were Megan,Bailey,Rosy and Raquel. They taught us about IRB. IRB means Inflatable rescue boat. The IRB is a boat that life guards use so if someone is far out at sea they can see them with there binoculars and then run to the boat and drive to them. The driver has to go next to the person in the water so they hit them with the boat. we learnt to slip slop slap and wrap Slip means to slip on some clothes Slop on some shoes Slap on some sunblock and Wrap some glasses. We learnt about some waves like surging waves,shore breaker,dumping wave and Spilling wave. The Shore breaker is the most dangerous wave because it will smash you into the shore and it could kill you. The life guards said that if in doubt stay out that means that if you don't want to swim then don't. and never swim if you are tired or cold because you can make some dumb decisions. Always listen to any lifeguards advice and beware of the currents so it doesn't drag you out to sea.

The Praying Mantis

The praying Mantis was named by that because of its praying position. When it hides in the leaves it waits and waits and waits until an insect comes so the mantis can feed on it. You may think it is praying peacefully but it is praying dangerously. The mantis is green n so when its enemy comes it hides in the leaves because its green too. Its not easy looking for a praying mantis in the leaves because its camouflaged. The mantis will stalk its prey or make no sudden movements until an insect comes. The Maori name for the mantis is Ro I thought it would be a long one but the name was short. This insect is the only insect that can rotate its neck and look behind it that's freaky. This insect praying mantis has six legs two on the front two on the middle and two on the back. It has powerful forelegs and well developed jaws.

THE TEMPLE LIGHTS

This is the temple in new Zealand, Hamilton. It is a holy place to us Christians and Mormons. We respect and obey this place and it is very cool how we can watch the lights turn on after we count down from ten. I would love to go there again.

This is a Hawaiian band. They are some cool and fascinating people. I would like to have one of them as my cousin.They have sang many songs like ehu girl,cool down,butterflies and many other songs too. They were mentioned on I AM TV and at the end of it he sang a song cool down.

A DRAWING HOLIDAY

The thing I love to do the most is draw, draw and draw, so guess what I did in the holidays?
Well in the holidays I just got a new female puppy and I thought I could draw her. I was thinking that drawing a puppy or a dog was going to be easy but it was hard. It's hard because she runs around too much and is always biting my shoes and me.

So I ended up drawing my other favourite thing dragon ball z characters. At least they don’t run around to much and bite.

I thought I would practise drawing some cars but the back of it was still crocked.

During night time I was drawing more stuff like trying to draw myself on my photos
or draw my whole room.I tried to add more detail and it looked all right.



When the next holiday comes I’m going to practise drawing birds and nature because I’m not that good.

He is named after his dad. His mum dies by giving birth to a baby boy named rocky. when he gets older he thinks he killed his mum because his older brother Alemein told him he killed her with his super powers but he doesn't.

My teacher Miss Tito is probably the greatest teacher i'v ever had. She is a super hero to me because she helped me learn new things and makes my brain stay healthy. I'm lucky to be in her class.
